The Autumn Term theme of learning in Tinley is Winter Wonderland.
We will be learning about the polar regions, how it is different to where we live and how animals have adapted to live there.
In English, we will be using the text The Emperor’s Egg by Martin Jenkins to learn more about emperor penguins. We will research other polar animals to create information texts.
In Maths, we will be learning about place value, and addition and subtraction up to 20. We will also be finding out about 2D and 3D shapes.
Our Science focus is Materials – both natural and human made. We will also be creating portraits, both with paint and on the computer.
