The Spring Term theme of learning in Tinley is Our Wonderful World.
We will be learning about the maps, the countries of the UK and different types of settlement.
In English, we will be using the text The Robot and the Bluebird to write non-chronological reports and write stories from a different view point. Robots will also be looked at in both our DT lessons and in computing where we will learn to programme a Beebot.
In Maths, we will be learning about place value, and addition and subtraction up to 50. Reception will learn their numbers to 10 and we will all find out about length, height, mass and capacity.
Our Science focus is Seasonal change, looking at trees and plants and how they change in the year.
Our Learning Update
In Geography we looked at the use of maps and created some of our own. The snow provided an excellent opportunity for a winter walk which I’m sure will be followed by a spring walk later this term!
